Don't worry about getting the size and measurements right - remember we are experts at knowing which size to order and how to measure.  We know our dresses back to front and can suggest styles suitable for whatever shape and size.

Not all styles suit all shapes and so please just ask.  For girls who need more room around the waist look at something that is A line - we have some fabulous A line dresses this year.  We are also stocking HALF SIZE dresses this year too.  These dress are more generous on the chest and waist but are still the correct length for this age group.

For girls who small waists - look at dresses that are fitted in the waist - this shows off the slim waist and also doesn't  'drown' them.  We have some stunning dresses that fall into this category.

We measure the actual dress so that gives a better example of measurements.

If you are unsure just email us with your childs chest, waist and length from shoulder to ankle - you need to allow for shoes but you don't want the dress too long as when your child bends or kneels as they will trip or stand on the dress.

The charts below will help but these are the Designers Guides to the size and will give you a general idea - we are always happy to re-measure the dress just to make sure.

Measurement Guides

Choosing the correct clothing size A - Measure from the neck to ankle without shoes - nape of neck measurement should be done from top of spine to ankle. B - Measure under the arms at the fullest part around the chest. C - Measure around the natural waistline D - Measure from shoulder bone to wrist When measuring height this should be done feet together, no shoes and feet flat on the floor. Measure from top of head to about the ankle. It is a good idea to do this against a flat wall.
